Financial literacy
It is always good to read a financial publication in print form. However, no-one knows a top or a bottom or a trend. Always remember that an author’s of articles are good at arguing their position. It may be convincing, but please do take it with a pinch of salt.
I am a value investor type. Cheaper the better and hated are my prefer choices. If it pays a dividend all the better, it means that I can compound with time. Time is your friend with investing.
DXY is going up. EM’s cannot afford the costs. All commodities are priced in dollars.
The outcome is uprising around the world.
With the world in such a mess I like learning from masters. I have purchased this audio book. I will listen to it as I drive. Learning from the experts is a good way. I love money and getting on. I am not interested in facebook or any other nonsense. Poor people get stuck in a rut. Learning and growing is so much more rewarding. Literally it is because you will have freedom eventually.
Personal Development
I was ill this weekend. However, it was not really a problem. I take vitamin C and drink lots of water. Moreover, my nutrition or healthy lifestyle assists too.
It is just a virus. I have cut down on my exercise and just relaxed more. It worked. If you have it together, life usually works in your favour.
My six-pack challenge is just about to commence. I just need an AGM battery. My temp job wages should be high enough, for me to buy one. I may buy on Friday of this week.
I look forward to getting ripped. It is just prep. The weather now is perfect for the diet.
In October I may do another OU course. I miss studying. In the winter is the best time to study. It is dark and cold and just perfect time for studying. In the summer, I find it too hot. It distracts me. My brains works better if it is not too hot.
I keep repeating this, but it is an important point. Men are good at earning money, but are not so eager to invest in themselves. If they did, women would be so much happier.
Working on myself is something that I love. Learning new things gives me confidence too. I also love the OU. It settles my head. It just gives me structure too.
Transferable skills the OU gives me as well. I learn new knowledge, and therefore have more value to give to others. More value is the key for all.
They say the UK has a productivity problem. I would agree. People need UK qualifications that are recognised throughout the UK. In one of my temp jobs, they have inhouse training. The problem is that there is no recognise qualification. This may explain the productivity problem.
If a person does in house training, it is bias learning. It works there, but it may not work elsewhere. Moreover, the person (teaching) will be an experienced member of that organisation. The problem is that they almost certainly be burned out. People get harden to certain situations if they do much of one thing.
Furthermore, they are not a qualified teacher. I am in TEFL. This means I can teach anyone professionally. They are not. Experience is good, but I do highlight a drawback of the system.
Van life
The temperature is going up. Over 30c I will go to a cooler area.
My island will be a lot cooler. The air will be perfect too. It is only an 8/10-hour drive. It just depends on the traffic.
Freedom to choose. I love it.
If I am honest, I love being by the sea. The sounds are so relaxing for me. Moreover, it costs me nothing to stay there. On the island the food is more expensive, but it really is not worth mentioning. If I am only there for 2/3 days, it is nothing.
I will be buying a new battery set up soon. I will decide later. However, the sooner I have the better. I will be able to park and go silent running. Cook inside and no-one will know.
I am writing this article in a lay by near Swindon. I have a new temp position here. However, I had to start up my generator. It is noisy. It is good reliable power, but it is loud. Therefore, I cannot use this method in a supermarket car park.
Once I have the power bank 1000w I will be able to cook and boil a kettle (travel type) with ease. Moreover, it will be silent.
No more noisy generators in lay bys. I will park up in more populated areas. However, I do prefer the countryside, but optionality is best. Generators are good for emergency power, but noise is a problem with them. Clean and quiet is my preferred method of cooking or boiling a kettle.
I do not have gas. This is a silent form of energy. Gas to me is more dangerous. I prefer all electric with solar charging all my batteries. Moreover, it is free, if I have the sun. If no sun, I must use either my van alternator or my petrol generator.
My head is full of going on my travels up to Scotland. All in it should be under £250.
I will post on here photos of my journey. I do assure you that life is better if you have freedom to roam. You have no stress also.
I will have to do my laundry, but I may do it in Rothesay. Laundromats are everywhere. Even at service stations (motorways) they have them.
Van life has the attraction of freedom. I am a mobile worker too, and I really enjoy temping in other areas.
My six-pack will have to wait. However, it Is not a problem. I have just had my teeth checked, and I passed. No filings and all are in order.
It is strange that I am so happy. It must be the van life.
Ian would like you to escape the rat race. Moreover, financial independence is a must too.
He is working on it.
