Van Life

The weather has been a bit hot. However, my fan works well, and it keeps my cool. There is so many places that you can visit. If it gets hot, I will go to a gym, and then I will do my training. Gyms have air conditioning, and this is good.

Solar has been a blessing. I run my fridge all the time during the day with it. If the weather is dull, it still usually is enough power. Having a cold coke or sparkling water is just so good. I might even get my chair out on a park up.

I love nature. It so calming. Sometimes birds come up to my window and then peck on it. They even sit on the roof too. I hear a little thud and then winds clapping. It must be a bird. It is because I usually have a look.

This week I parked up at a lay by near Marlborough. Here are the pictures.

Trading

Oil is looking cheap. If a commodity goes down a lot, it may be a good time to buy. I believe that Lyn Alden is correct about supply issues with oil. There is just not enough to go round.

If I were buying oil, I would buy a dividend paying one. If you trade the future trend, you will win handsomely. Compounding your dividends will get your passive income up too. At the end of the day passive income is the holy grail.

Once this is at your every day living expenses, it means that you are free to choose. Working or not because you have financial independence.

Having the choice is so good. I love trading the markets. Watching the prices of the commodities is so exciting. You just never know the future.

Trading is my hobby. It is not about the money. Therefore, I trade with no emotions.

No trades this week.

Personal development

My breakfast is always the same.

50g porridge with 250ml semi-skimmed milk

5g cinnamon

2 scrambled eggs with a dash of semi-skimmed milk

I did a nutrition course, and this is the menu of a breakfast on it. I do this with everything in my life. I have professionals recommend something. I will implement it into my life.

If you carry on with this, it will compound with time. In other words, you will grow and prosper.

I love this Charlie Munger quote: "I constantly see people rise in life who are not the smartest, sometimes not even the most diligent, but they are learning machines. They go to bed every night a little wiser than they were when they got up."

Consistency is powerful.

I do this that is quoted above. It is true because the more a person gains knowledge. The person will be making better decisions.

For example, my daughter has her fees for university that I pay. They come first before anything. My goals come second. It must wait. I cannot do my other goals.

Previously, I would have red lined. Now I will not. I always have a reserve that I never touch. This way I can never take a serious fall or my daughter.

Imagine this scenario, I have run out of money. I contact my daughter and say, ’Bianca I am broke.’ It would destroy my daughter and she may not be able to raise the funds. Then she may have to stop her university.

It is not me being a big head. It is just that I put my daughter first. This is correct. Once she has passed all her modules, she will be qualified teacher. Her future life will be better. Bianca will be set up for life too.

See you next week,

Ian
